In February of 2000, 407 citizens age 18 and over from throughout
the state were interviewed to document Virginians' current
attitudes and opinions concerning insurance fraud. A similar
study was conducted in May of 2005, designed to track attitude
changes since the benchmarking research was conducted in
2000.
The 2000 Virginia
results were compared to a 1997 national study conducted
by the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud.
